Mouse Latency Test

Ready, click to start

Overview

Want to know the difference in response speed between a gaming mouse and an office mouse? Test different mice on the same computer one after another to see the real relative performance. Supports gaming mice and office mice, no installation required.

How to Use

  1. Enter the page and wait automatically; click the left mouse button to start.
  2. The right panel updates latency data in real-time.
  3. The green curve shows latency distribution, and the yellow dashed line is the average line.
  4. Stops automatically when the target number of samples is reached.

Feature Details

Using high-precision time API to record the time from system response to event processing completion for each click, automatically summarizing average latency, jitter, and stability percentage, displayed in real-time with a green curve. After the test, a rating from LEGEND to BELOW AVG is given. The core value lies in comparison on the same machine.

Features

Real-time latency: millisecond precision.
Multi-dimensional statistics: average/best/worst/jitter.
Equivalent polling rate: 1000 รท avg.
Latency curve: green line + yellow average line.
Ratings: LEGEND/GREAT/GOOD/AVERAGE.
Sample count: 10/20/50/100 optional.

Use Cases

  • Mouse comparison: test old and new mice sequentially.
  • Same model verification: compare two units of the same model.
  • Second-hand inspection: compare on the same machine after receiving.
  • System optimization check: compare before and after optimization.

FAQ

How to compare two mice?

Test the first mouse and record the results, then unplug it and plug in the second mouse, click reset to test again, and compare the average values of the two groups.

Is a gaming mouse always faster?

Latency is affected by multiple factors such as firmware, USB, system load, etc. Only comparison on the same machine can reveal the real difference.
